A quieter approach to living well
The Sunday Notes
A weekly reflection on thoughtful living, personal refinement, and the culture of Sunday.
Each Sunday brings a reflection, a small practice for the week ahead, and occasional invitations to gatherings like The Sunday Salon.
Part reflection, part invitation—this is where the Sundaymood community quietly begins.
Sunday Notes No. 11
few years ago, I started noticing something uncomfortable.
There were things I said I valued that weren't showing up in my actual life.
I wanted more calm.
But I reached for my phone the moment I woke up.
I wanted more focus.
But I was constantly interrupting myself.
I wanted to feel less overwhelmed.
But I kept saying yes to things I didn't have the energy for.
Nothing was dramatically wrong.
But there was a gap between the life I wanted and the life I was practicing.
That word has stayed with me.
Practicing.
Sunday Notes No. 10
There are emotions we allow ourselves to feel easily.
And others we avoid almost instinctively.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately—how many women are emotionally overwhelmed while simultaneously insisting they’re “fine.”
I know because I’ve done it too.
Sunday Notes No. 9
There are moments in life where you can feel something asking to change before you fully understand what it is.
Sunday Notes No. 8
I used to think clarity would arrive all at once.
Like a breakthrough.
A sign.
A perfectly organized plan.
Instead, it usually arrives quietly—through honesty.
Sunday Notes No. 7
Small Rituals, Big Mood.
Mood is rarely random. We often wait for big life changes to feel better, when the truth is smaller than that.
Sunday Notes No. 6
We talk endlessly about beginnings.
New routines. Fresh starts. Monday motivation.
But there is an art to endings. Closing the week well matters just as much.
Sunday Notes No. 5
The Quiet Reset
Most resets don’t need to be dramatic. They don’t require a Monday, a new month, or a complete reinvention.
Sunday Notes No. 4
Designing a Week You Actually Want to Live
What if you designed your week the same way you’d design a home — thoughtfully placing the things that matter most?
Sunday Notes No. 2
The Discipline of a Slow Morning
A slow morning isn’t laziness. It’s preparation.
